Who We Are

We are distinguished leaders in mental health whose careers span policy, service innovation, education, advocacy, and lived-experience leadership across Australia and beyond. Together, we have shaped major reforms in workforce frameworks, recovery-oriented services, human rights, trauma-informed care, standards development, conference leadership, and community-based mental health initiatives, earning national recognition for our contribution to improving mental health systems and outcomes.

Obituary

Our esteemed colleague and former member of TAMHSS, Peter McGeorge passed away in December 2025, leaving behind a distinguished legacy in psychiatry, mental health leadership, and service reform across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally. He will be remembered for his commitment to compassionate care, systems improvement, and advocacy for some of the most vulnerable people in the community.
